ABOUT BORDALLO SARDINES

The Bordallo Pinheiro sardine collection is the result of a collaboration between the Bordallo factory in Caldas da Rainha, EGEAC (Lisbon’s municipal Cultural and Entertainment entity) and Lisbon’s City Council. 

Each sardine is designed by renowned Portuguese and international figures from various creative backgrounds and each design tells its own story. Colourful, cheerful & irresistibly collectable. Hang them on a wall to create an eye-catching feature. A small hole at the back makes for easy mounting.

THE ORIGINAL SARDINE

The one that inspired all others. Designed by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, this iconic sardine is still produced today using original century-old moulds and is entirely hand-painted.
